Since 1980 DCT Civil Engineering Ltd has evolved as a highly respected contractor within the Water, Power and Utilities industries in England and Scotland. Accustomed to operating in environmentally sensitive locations DCT has won Green Apple and Considerate Constructors Awards for their innovative approach to projects. Aware that the knowledge held by constructors is often not fully utilised, DCT sought to provide a turnkey service which would change the approach to project delivery and offer better value to clients form the outset, not just at the construction stage.

Having worked on Wind, Biomass, Hydro, Geothermal, Combined Heat and Power, Solar, Nuclear and HV transmission projects over the last 22 years Technical Expert, Bill Shaw could see that, far from being designed-out, risks were often being unwittingly built into projects prior to the planning stage. Seeing that clients and stakeholders were frustrated by the exposure to risk, Bill knew that constructability was the missing link and sought to act.

DCT Renewable Energy Projects was formed in 2009 to offer a new and exciting service to the Renewables marketplace.
