The DCT Group of Companies has been providing a civil engineering construction service for many years. Accustomed to operating in environmentally sensitive locations, and aware that the knowledge held by constructors is often not fully utilised, DCT has sought to provide a service to the renewable energy sector that changes the approach to project delivery, and offers better value to clients from the outset.

Having worked on wind, biomass, hydro, geothermal, combined heat and power, solar, nuclear and high voltage transmission projects for more than 20 years, technical expert Bill Shaw could see that far from being designed-out, risks were often being unwittingly built into projects prior to the planning stage. Seeing that clients and stakeholders were frustrated by the exposure to risk, Bill knew that Constructability was the missing link and sought to act.
